Thermal Abstract I
Thermophiles, or bacteria/ organisms that only thrive in the extreme environmental rigors of thermal pools and vents, can be seen congregating to create this partial “bed” of life, floating across the top of a thermal pool in Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone boasts 1/3 of all the world’s natural thermal features contained within the 2 million acre boundary of the park.
